Friday April 2nd Estate sales.

Spring Fever Hits Yakima: Estate Sale Season Has Officially Begun

If you’ve ever walked through Yakima Finds and wondered, Where do they get all this amazing stuff?—this weekend is your answer.

Estate sale season is in full bloom, and this Friday, April 2nd, is shaping up to be one of the best hunting days we’ve seen in a long time. Between Hidden Treasures Estate Sale Services, Vinta Gee Estate Sales, and the standout sale from Staci Spurbeck in Selah, this is the kind of weekend that seasoned pickers live for. Add in a wave of early spring yard sales, and you've got the perfect storm of vintage glory.

At Yakima Finds, we do our best to bring you the best, but let’s be honest—some of the real magic happens out in the field. The only thing missing this weekend is a pop-up from the team at Flippers to round it all out.

If you love what you see at Yakima Finds—quirky kitchenware, rare media, weird and wonderful ephemera—you need to be following these companies. Their sales are the frontlines of vintage discovery, and they are the source of so many of the stories and treasures we later get to showcase.

To prove it, I’ll be sharing a gallery of stunning early 1900s postcards I just picked up in Selah. They’re beautiful, local, and full of charm. I also scored a box of 8mm film reels from the Hidden Treasures sale—currently in the process of being digitized. Who knows what stories are waiting to be uncovered in those silent, flickering frames?

So this weekend, grab some cash, gas up the car, and hit the circuit. Whether you’re a collector, reseller, or just someone who loves things with stories, this is your season. And remember—when you find something amazing, we’d love to hear about it.

See you at the next pick.

Here are some finds from the Pingrey sale is Selah this morning.  This galery of early 1900s postcards have AI generated markup because I am lazy and AI context is better than just pics.
